REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPISTS:
Registered Massage Therapists are registered by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Massage therapy helps to relieve muscle tension and joint pain . There are various types of Massages this include and not limited to Deep muscle massage therapy, Sports injury and stress relieving massage therapy, the purpose of massage therapy is to decrease stress , improve posture, movement and circulation.
REHAB ASSISTANTS
Rehab Assistants assist the Occupational and Physio-Therapists deliver various rehabilitation programs. The Rehabilitation Assistant is also a key figure in most of the groups such as balance group which runs within a retirement or a nursing home setting, under the supervision of a licensed Therapist. The Rehab Assistant has to undertake extensive training in community colleges and complete co-op placement hours. Our Rehab Assistants are highly skilled and competent and are available to cover for vacations, retirement, maternity leave etc.
PHYSIO ASSISTANTS
The Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) with the direction of physiotherapist does strengthening exercises, various group exercise to promote endurance and mobility improve range of motion, function and, in some case s to relieve pain. PTAs work in various settings such as hospitals Nursing Homes Retirement homes Sports Clinics and school settings.
